The Mahogany

We named this teapot after the unusual golden shimmer of its rich brown clay, a color which reminds us of the tawny grained mahogany wood. Hand-made from semi-porous clay and fired at 1200 C this teapot is ideal for dark teas such as our roasted oolongs or black teas. Over time, its unglazed yet hard interior will the oils of the main teas it brewed, in the same way mahogany would develop a fine patina over the years.

Each teapot comes with a complimentary handmade and custom brocade tea satchel, a beautiful and reusable item. Colors may vary.
